NAKED CYCLISTS DOWN CORK WAY

Cork city centre will be transformed into a temporary, living art gallery later today, as cyclists take part in the 'World Naked Bike Ride event'.

As part of the event, 50 artists will paint on a living, breathing canvas of cyclists who will then cycle through the city's streets.

The aim is to demonstrate how vulnerable cyclists are on the roads.

It is hoped the one hour, 15-minute journey will also highlight campaigners' opposition to the so-called 'car culture' and the world's dependence on fossil fuels.
