100 new jobs for Cork and Dublin

Four separate companies are creating a total of 100 new positions in Cork and Dublin.

Online games developer Red 5 Studios is setting up a European HQ in Cork with the creation of 30 jobs.

Another 30 positions are coming on stream in Dublin, where global technology services company Aasonn is also establishing European headquarters. 

Twenty-five customer support and multi-lingual marketing roles are being created at Van Tibolli Beauty Corp in Dublin.

A further 15 jobs are being created in the capital by Qualvu Inc, which provides web-based qualitative research.

Canadian analytics firm Infobright and financial service company Md7 will also set up their European, Middle East and Africa headquarters in Dublin.

“Today’s announcement that six high-growth emerging companies are locating operations here with the creation of 100 jobs is great news for Dublin and Ireland,” said Jobs Minister Richard Bruton.

“The Government is determined to build on this to ensure that we can continue to see the flow of multinational investment to Ireland and help create the growth and jobs we need.”

He said the Government and IDA had been working hard to attract high-growth emerging business.

Meanwhile, IDA chief executive Barry O’Leary said the news adds to Ireland’s reputation as a hub for new companies.

He said the fact Ireland is home to the headquarters of major firms including Google, Twitter and Facebook, was evidence the country is home to a skilled workforce.

“Ireland is home to key foreign direct investment players across a range of sectors and the availability of a highly skilled dynamic workforce, make it a preferred choice for innovative, proactive and fast expanding companies with ambitious plans,” Mr O’Leary went on.
