A father and his five-year-old daughter have died in a house fire in Co Kerry.
The blaze at the house in Killeen Heights in Tralee broke out shortly after 2.20am.
A number of units of the fire brigade as well as members of the Gardaí attended the scene.
A man in his 30s and his five-year-old daughter both died in the fire. A woman in her late 20s - believed to be the mother of the young girl - managed to escape the blaze by jumping from an upstairs window.
She is being treated at Kerry General Hospital in Tralee.
The bodies of the man and child were also removed to Tralee Hospital where post mortems will be carried out later today.
The scene is sealed off pending a technical examination. Gardaí say early indications are that the fire was accidental
